Open Weekend: Austrian Cultural Forum London

The Austrian Cultural Forum London (ACF) celebrates its 60th anniversary in the capital with an array of free events across the city that delve into the history and richness of the Austrian-British cultural exchange.

There's a lot to suit everyone's taste with events stretching across film, music, art and literature. Highlights include:

  • Open Weekend kicks off with the opening of the exhibition, Out of the Box. Out of the Box will feature specially-commissioned pieces that give an unconventional and intriguing insight into the ACF's history. A special edition of the Parabol Art Magazine will be issued at the opening with Artist Talks and a Exhibition Tour accompanying the artwork throughout the weekend.
  • Contemporary choir Musarc will team up with Joss Stone and Björk collaborator Manu Delago to perform a special piece of music for the ACF.  The pairing of Delago, one of the world's leading Hang players and Musarc's progressive, experimental sound is set to be amazing.
  • For the film lovers, Regent Street Cinema together with the ACF have curated an Austrian Film Season.  Cinematic delights include Dog Days and Jesus You Know by critically-acclaimed screenwriter Ulrich Seidl, Oscar-nominated short Everything will be Okay (Alles Wird Wieder Gut) and Michael Haneke's erotic thriller The Piano Teacher (La Pianiste).
